Storage

Keep the log away from the weather and the sun, in its plastic bag, ideally in a basement or garage. Changes in humidity can affect burn time.

How it works

Place

Outdoors, on a stable, non-combustible surface away from anything flammable: a concrete slab, sand or gravel.

Light

Everything is included: fire starter and matches. A single match is enough to bring the flame to life on top.

Chat

Ideally at dusk. The log burns from 1.5 to over 3 hours, depending on the model. All that’s left is to sit down.

Put out

Fill it with sand, which makes relighting easier, or douse it with water. You can relight it later.

To round out the evening
